Julie Miller is a Partner with Russell, Krafft & Gruber, LLP. Prior to attending law school, Julie worked as a legislative research analyst for the Health and Human Services Committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. While attending Dickinson School of Law she was recognized by the Miller Center for Public Interest Advocacy for her work with the school’s Family Law clinic. Following graduation she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Joseph C. Madenspacher of the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County.

Julie’s personal approach to representing Family Law clients led her to seek training in the practice of Collaborative Law. Collaborative Law is a low-conflict alternative to the conventional and traditional litigation process. The alternative brings together couples and their attorneys to encourage the exchange of interests, ideas, and fostering open communication. She is compassionate and committed in her work to helping her clients move forward to achieve lasting and mutually beneficial agreements.

Julie devotes a significant portion of her practice to Family Law. She understands that every client faces unique circumstances and, in response, employs an individualized, personal approach to each case. When she is not working on a Collaborative Law matter, Julie has noteworthy experience appearing before Family Law Judges, Custody and Support Conference Officers and Divorce Masters. She is also an efficient negotiator and, whenever possible, works to settle matters outside of court.

Julie has served on numerous boards and committees for professional and charitable organizations. She recently concluded a six-year term on the Lancaster City Zoning Hearing Board. She is a member of the Family Law Section and Collaborative Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.   Julie serves on the Board of Directors of the S. June Smith Center Foundation. She resides in Lancaster with her husband, Russell, and their children.
